Connect once

One connection to your own Zoom account.

Authorize Chapters once through Zoom's own secure OAuth screen — you sign in on Zoom's site, so we never see your password. From then on, every live lesson you schedule creates its own Zoom meeting automatically — no per-meeting links to copy and paste, and no separate Zoom app for you to build.

  • Your account, free or paid. Use the Zoom plan you already have — meetings run on your own account.
  • No copy-and-paste. Meeting links are created and managed for you behind the scenes.
  • Nothing to build. There's no separate Zoom integration for you to develop or maintain.

Schedule in the lesson

A live class is just another lesson.

Add a Live lesson to any chapter, set the date, time, and duration, and Chapters creates the Zoom meeting on your account. Times are handled in your store's timezone, so there's no mental math. Edit or cancel the lesson and the change syncs straight back to Zoom.

  • Set date, time, and duration right where you build the course.
  • The Zoom meeting is created automatically on your account.
  • Edit, move, or delete the lesson and Zoom syncs to match.

Students join from the course

One tap into the live room — without leaving your site.

On the lesson page, students see a "Join live class" button with a countdown ticking down to the start. When it's time, one tap starts the session right there: the Zoom Meeting SDK embeds the meeting inside the course player, on your own domain.

No meeting IDs to find, no links to dig out of an email — the class simply appears where the lesson lives.

  • A pre-start countdown shows exactly when the class begins.
  • The session runs embedded in the course player via the Zoom Meeting SDK.
  • A calendar (.ics) download puts the session in their own calendar app.
  • It lives alongside their other lessons, inside the course they bought.

Replays

Missed it live? Watch it later.

After the session ends, add the recording to your course as a video lesson — hosting and streaming are already included. Students who couldn't make the live time can still catch every minute, and those who attended can review it.

  • The replay lives on the same lesson as the live class.
  • It plays with the same protected player as your recorded lessons. See the player.
  • A live session quietly becomes evergreen content in your library.

Mix formats

Live and on-demand, in one course.

A live class is a lesson type, not a separate product. Mix video, text, and live Zoom lessons in the same curriculum and drag-and-drop them into any order — self-paced material between sessions, live workshops where they matter most.

  • Video, text, and live lessons sit side by side in any chapter.
  • Drip the recorded lessons — by fixed date, days after enrollment, or sequentially — while live sessions anchor the calendar.
  • Running a cohort? Seat caps show a live "spots left" count and a Sold out state when the class fills.

Reminders

Students actually show up.

Automatic push reminders go out 30 minutes and 5 minutes before each session, and every live lesson offers a calendar (.ics) download — so a class on the schedule turns into a full room.

Push reminders

A push notification reaches students on the home-screen app, even when the tab is closed.

Add to calendar

Students download an .ics file from the lesson page, so the session lands in the calendar app they already live by.

Timed before start

Reminders fire 30 minutes and 5 minutes before start, hitting students while there's still time to join.

FAQ

Live classes, answered.

Do I need a paid Zoom plan?+

No. Connect a free or paid Zoom account — the one connection via Zoom's OAuth screen is all it takes. Sessions run on your own account, so whatever your Zoom plan allows, your live classes support.

Do students leave my site to join?+

No. The meeting is embedded in the course player with the Zoom Meeting SDK, on your own domain. Students press Join on the lesson page — after a pre-start countdown — and the class runs right there.

What if a student misses the live session?+

Add the recording to your course as a video lesson after class — hosting is already included. It streams in the same protected player as your recorded lessons, so the session becomes evergreen content.

How do students remember to show up?+

Push notifications go out 30 minutes and 5 minutes before start — they reach the home-screen app even when the tab is closed — and students can download an .ics calendar file from the lesson page.

Can I mix live and self-paced lessons?+

Yes. Video, text, and live Zoom lessons sit in one curriculum, in any order — with drip scheduling if you want the recorded parts released over time. See the course builder.

Do live classes cost extra?+

No. Live classes are included. Free until you sell. 5% after. Never more than $29 a month — the cap applies to the commission. Your Zoom account is the only thing you bring. See full pricing.
