Video storage

Free for every store. Need more room? Add storage in 25 GB blocks at $4 each per month — that's $0.16 per GB — and only if you go past the free tier.
There are no plans or tiers. Storage and streaming top-ups are the only add-ons — and only if you outgrow the free allowances.
No paywalls
There's no "pro" tier hiding the good parts. The free install gives you the entire product — these are the features you get the moment you open the app.

How the 5% works
When a student buys a course or exam, Chapters earns a flat 5% of that sale. The other 95% is yours. There's no monthly minimum and nothing to pay in a month where you sell nothing.

Yes. There's no monthly fee, no setup cost, and no credit card required to install. You get every feature, unlimited courses, and unlimited students from day one. The only time money changes hands is when you make a sale (5%), or if you outgrow the free 30 GB of storage or 100 GB/month of streaming.
The 5% is a flat commission on each course or exam sale you make through Chapters — including paid retakes and paid certificates. It does not apply to your other Shopify products. If you don't sell anything in a given month, there's no commission to pay.
No. There's no per-student, per-seat, or per-enrollment fee. Whether you have ten students or ten thousand, the price is the same: free to install, 5% on sales, and storage or streaming top-ups only if you exceed the free allowances (30 GB stored, 100 GB streamed per month).
Every store starts with 30 GB free. If your video library grows past that, you can add storage in 25 GB blocks at $4 each per month — $0.16 per GB. You can add or drop blocks anytime; changes apply on your next billing cycle. Student streaming works the same way: 100 GB free every month, then $6 per extra 100 GB block only if you need it.
Everything is billed through Shopify App charges and appears on your normal Shopify invoice — there's no separate card to add. Commission is charged on the sales you make, and any storage or streaming add-on is billed monthly. Shopify's own payment processing fees are separate and unchanged.
There's no contract and no lock-in. Because there's no monthly subscription, you only ever pay for sales you make and any storage or streaming you actually use. You can uninstall whenever you like; any add-on simply stops at the end of the cycle.
When you refund a course or exam order in Shopify, the student's access is revoked automatically and their lesson progress is kept in case they re-enroll. Refunds are managed entirely inside Shopify, right alongside your other orders.
